Prime Minister Viktor Orbán attended the opening ceremony of the new Huawei regional logistics base

Doing business with China is a precondition for recovery after the global economic crisis ends said PM Viktor Orbán at the opening ceremony of the new Huawei regional logistics base in Biatorbágy on Tuesday.

Only countries that do business with China will be able to cope and become winners in a post-crisis world."

The prime minister supports long-term economic and cultural cooperation between Central-Europe and China. The Hungarian government plans to increase exports to non-European countries to 33% from the current 11% by 2018.

There have been winds of change in Hungary's economic policy in recent years and those who invest in Hungary can build on solid foundations said Orbán.

The 30,000-square-meter logistics center can handle 3,000 truckloads of goods a month, making Hungary Huawei’s second biggest supplier.

By 2015, Huawei will expand the range of products it assembles in Hungary to include its entire product portfolio, Huawei said earlier; as a result, the number of people employed directly and indirectly by Huawei in Hungary will double.
